广州国际长笛比赛前身为北京尼柯莱国际长笛比赛，创立于 2006 年。赛事前两届在北京举办，自第三届起移至广州举办。

大赛旨在提升中国青年长笛演奏者的演奏技艺，促进国际音乐文化交流。赛事为优秀长笛演奏人才搭建展示平台，以此拓宽选手的音乐认知，丰富舞台演奏经验。

The International Flute Competition Guangzhou

The International Flute Competition Guangzhou, formerly known as the Beijing Nicolet International Flute Competition, was established in 2006. Initially held in Beijing, the competition relocated to Guangzhou for its third edition onwards.

The competition aims to elevate the flute playing skills of young Chinese musicians and foster international musical exchange. By providing a platform for talented flutists, we seek to enrich their musical understanding and performance experience.

History, Mission and Vision of the Competition

我们的历史

广州国际长笛比赛，前身为北京尼柯莱国际长笛比赛，是由中国音乐家协会、中瑞文化交流协会联合主办的国际性专业音乐赛事。

比赛旨在深化国际音乐交流，推动长笛演奏艺术走向国际化发展。参赛选手可借赛事历练，在演奏技法与音乐理解层面收获宝贵经验。

享誉全球的长笛大师、瑞士长笛演奏家奥雷勒・尼柯莱，曾将个人全套长笛乐谱赠予中央音乐学院陈琦玲教授与北京交响乐团长笛演奏家陈三庆，这份心意尽显他对中国的深厚情谊。2006 年适逢尼科莱八十华诞，以其姓名命名赛事，因此拥有特殊而深远的意义。

我们愿所有参赛者借这场盛会共赏长笛艺术之美，与同行互通心声，交流各自对音乐的体悟、对生活的热爱。

The International Flute Competition Guangzhou, formerly known as the Beijing Nicolet International Flute Competition is an international music professional competition, organized by China Music Association and Society of Chinese-Swiss Culture Exchange.

The Competition aims at enhancing international music exchange, especially in the field of promoting the international development of flute playing. Through the competition, the flutists shall have the opportunities to gain valuable experience in both play skill and music understanding.

World famous flute master, the Swiss flutist Aurèle Nicolet has presented Qiling Chen, professor from Central Conservatory of Music, and Sanqing Chen, flutist from Beijing Symphony Orchestra, with his flute music collections. This serves as a symbol of his deep love towards China. 2006 was Nicolet’s eightieth anniversary. Therefore, it carries special and profound significance to name the competition after him

Through the competition, we wish all the participants could share the charm of flute art. Also we wish all contestants could communicate and exchange with people: their understanding of music, the love to life.

All submitted performance videos must remain unedited. Record in a spacious venue. Upload your video as an unlisted YouTube clip and sEND the link together with a Word document listing your repertoire to the official email: ifc.guangzhou@gmail.com

The on-site competition will run from 28 September to 8 October 2026.

Result Announcement & Performance Draw

2026 年 9 月 27 日现场抽签确定首轮演奏顺序，欧洲参赛选手需到场亲自抽签；后续每一轮演奏顺序均单独抽签。所有场次演奏全程对外开放，每轮赛事当日晚间公布本轮成绩。

The playing order for the first round will be decided by an on-site draw on 27 September 2026. Contestants from Europe are required to attEND the draw in person. Separate draws will be held to determine the performance order for each subsequent round. All performances are open to the public, and results for each round will be announced on the evening of the same competition day.

Preliminary Round (Video Submission)

1. Two movements from one of the following works:

a) J. S. Bach: Partita in A minor

b) C. P. E. Bach: Solo Sonata in A minor

(no repeats)

2. J. Andersen: 24 Studies, Op. 15, No. 24

Each piece must be recorded in one take, using a single camera showing the performer’s whole body. Both recordings should be uploaded as one unlisted video on YouTube.

Raylliant Chamber Music Hall hosts all preliminary, Round 1, Round 2 and Semi-final sessions of the competition. Nestled in Gaozhi Mansion, Zhujiang New Town CBD, it is a high-standard professional chamber music venue in South China. Adopting the classic Italian horseshoe acoustic design, it optimizes sound reflection and balanced reverberation. With an intimate 196-seat layout, it delivers pure, authentic flute timbre, perfectly tailored for solo and chamber music contests.

本届大赛总决赛、颁奖典礼暨闭幕庆典音乐会落地华南地标星海音乐厅。场馆坐落于珠江畔二沙岛，以人民音乐家冼星海命名，是国内自然声学标杆级专业音乐厅，1518 座交响乐大厅声场温润通透，配备巨型镇厅管风琴与全套顶级专业演奏乐器，可完美呈现协奏曲宏大饱满的音响层次。

多年来，维也纳爱乐、马友友、穆特等国际顶尖乐团与艺术家均在此登台演出，是国内承办高规格国际音乐赛事、闭幕盛典的首选殿堂。决赛与闭幕晚会选址于此，以殿堂级声场、城市文化地标之姿，为本届大赛画上隆重璀璨的收尾，见证获奖选手的高光时刻。

The Grand Final, Award Ceremony and Gala Closing Concert will be held at Xinghai Concert Hall, the landmark music venue of South China. Located on Ersha Island alongside the Pearl River and named after the great Chinese composer Xian Xinghai, it is nationally renowned for its world-class natural acoustics. The 1,518-seat Symphony Hall features warm, transparent sound and a monumental pipe organ, capable of presenting the full, rich texture of flute concertos.

World-class orchestras and artists including the Vienna Philharmonic, Yo-Yo Ma and Anne-Sophie Mutter have performed here over the years, making it the premier venue for high-profile international music contests and galas. Hosting the final and closing ceremony at this iconic hall delivers a grand, memorable finale to the competition, honoring the outstanding achievements of all prize-winning flutists.
